  • Eddie Bauer is undergoing Chapter 11 bankruptcy & has laid off 58 employees at six local stores starting Feb. 2; additional cuts are planned by May 15 if a buyer is not found by April 30.  Daily Record

EDUCATION NEWS

  • County College of Morris’s Legacy Project in Randolph announced a free Spring 2026 lecture series with three events—a virtual discussion on Feb. 16 at 6 p.m., an on-campus lecture on March 26 at 12:30 p.m., and a book discussion on May 5 at 12:30 p.m.—with registration required for select programs.  WRNJ Radio
  • County College of Morris has opened registration for Summer Session 2026 to offer nearly 300 courses online, in-person & hybrid for current and visiting students seeking to earn credits. The summer session includes four flexible terms starting May, and Fall registration opens April 6.  WRNJ Radio

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Morris County Park Commission posted an online survey for the 8-mile Boonton Reservoir Trail and will hold a public hearing on Feb. 23 at 6:00 p.m. at the Morris County Cultural Center to secure a $1.75 million state grant for phased improvements.  Daily Record
  • NJ Transit resumed service on the Northeast Corridor and North Jersey Coast Line early Tuesday after two overhead wire failures disrupted rides on Feb. 9. Officials noted that commuters were safely transferred — no injuries were reported.  Daily Record

  • Heath Village’s Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Washington Township celebrated its five-year anniversary last month — a milestone marking its growth into a top-rated facility that has served more than 1,600 patients and provided state-of-the-art care for older adults.  WRNJ Radio
