- ➤ Saint Elizabeth University in Florham Park will host an evening of remembrance honoring victims of the Armenian Genocide on April 22. WRNJ Radio
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ New Jersey officials allow farmers to conduct controlled open burns and use smudge pots from today through April 22 to safeguard crops from frost damage due to forecast low temperatures. Farmers must notify the DEP and follow strict guidelines for safe burning (only clean, untreated materials allowed). WRNJ Radio
- ➤ NJ Transit will hold a Regional Mobility Plan briefing today to clarify transportation costs for World Cup fans traveling to East Rutherford for matches. The briefing comes as Gov. Sherrill and FIFA disagree on who covers the transport fees under the revised agreement. News 12 New Jersey
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Gov. Mikie Sherrill proposed nearly $49 million in her FY2027 budget to expand the Family Connects NJ program that provides free nurse visits to newborn families. The program, which served over 10,000 families by January 2026, will expand in Union, Hunterdon, Morris, and Warren counties (planned for January 2027). WRNJ Radio
