  • Morris County and Denville Township announced preservation of 57 acres of open space with a $5.7M grant for the St. Francis and Pocono Field sites; ownership transfers in July while a new grant cycle is accepting applications until June 12 (the historic parcels will support both passive and active recreation).  WRNJ Radio

  • Land of Make Believe in Hope Township announced its 2026 pricing plan with all-inclusive admission covering rides, water park, parking, and picnic privileges to help families manage costs.   • A Hard Rock Bet study found New Jersey ranked No. 10 among Star Wars-obsessed states after logging over 42,000 related searches within 24 hours ahead of May the 4th. The study showed 43.2% of fans preferred the prequel trilogy.  News 12 New Jersey

  • Today, New Jersey gas prices reached a record high of $4.42 per gallon—up nearly 40 cents in a week—due to the Iran conflict and a pricier summer gasoline blend, and rising oil costs are pushing up grocery and airline prices for summer travelers.  Daily Record

  • NJ awarded $25.2 million in Clean Communities grants to support local litter cleanup and public education; Morris County received $118,239 for projects near Morristown.
