  • A 13-year-old boy from Budd Lake was airlifted to Morristown Medical Center after a Ford Explorer struck his bicycle on Wolfe Road in Mount Olive at 6:35 p.m.—police confirmed he was not wearing a safety helmet and his condition remains unknown.  Daily Record

  • The New Jersey State Police today released its 2025 Most Wanted list featuring thirteen violent fugitives — including Joanne Chesimard, wanted for escaping from a correctional institution while serving a life sentence for the murder of Trooper Werner Foerster on May 2 — and urged anyone with information to contact the NJSP Fugitive Unit.  WRNJ Radio

  • Peacock and A24 are filming the prequel series Crystal Lake, which casts New Jersey locals for paid background work while shooting is scheduled from June through October. Grant Wilfley Casting seeks young people, high schoolers, kids and those with 1960s-era cars for roles with strict hair and appearance requirements — interested applicants must email with all requested details.  Daily Record

  • Food prices in North Jersey have stayed steady since early April due to delayed tariffs—stores like ShopRite and Whole Foods have kept prices unchanged. Economists warn that costs may rise soon when stocks of pre-tariff goods run low.  Daily Record

  • NJ Transit engineers may strike on May 16, which will cut train service for about 172,000 rail riders who work in New York.
