  • Linguistics professor Jonathan Howell at Montclair State explains New Jersey speech is diverse, and the 'Joisey' sound originated from a coil-curl merger common in early 20th-century New York (a voice trait later picked up in film). GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • New Jersey and New York attorneys general launched a probe into FIFA's ticket practices for the 2026 World Cup after fans reported misleading seat assignments and steep price hikes. Subpoenas have been issued to FIFA for eight matches in our state, including the final scheduled for July 19.  WRNJ Radio
  • The Morris County Board of County Commissioners recognized Older Americans Month and Mental Health Awareness Month at a public meeting this week, presenting proclamations to county officials and honoring retiring employees.
