- ➤ More than 40 students and clubs were honored at County College of Morris' 56th Campus Life Appreciation Dinner Dance Tuesday at Meadow Wood Manor in Randolph—awards were given for strong leadership and campus work. - ➤ Rep. Kean urged Senators Booker and Kim to support a reconciliation package that will restore up to $40,000 in SALT deductions for New Jersey families in his district. The House report states the bill will come to the Senate floor this summer — a move intended to ease a high tax burden for local homeowners. WRNJ Radio
- ➤ New Jersey officials announced Thursday a plan to provide more than $430 million in direct relief for rising energy bills affecting 3.9 million customers as rates increased by 20% on June 1. All residential customers will receive at least $100 in credits and low-to-moderate income households an extra $150—funded by state clean energy funds and renewable compliance payments—and lawmakers criticized PJM Interconnection for its role in the rate hike.
