  • A 21-year-old bicyclist was seriously injured Monday night in a Route 10 crash in Morris County—police responded at 9:04 p.m. and took the victim to a hospital for treatment as the investigation continues.  WRNJ Radio

BUSINESS NEWS

  • An At Home store in Morris County will close along with two other New Jersey locations as the home décor retailer restructures under Chapter 11. The company filed for bankruptcy protection earlier this month — citing about $2 billion in debt — and has begun store closing sales that will finish by Sept. 30.  WRNJ Radio

ECONOMY NEWS

  • New Jersey college grads face a tougher job market as their unemployment rose from 3.9% to 5.8% between April 2022 and March 2025—entry-level jobs in tech suffer from AI taking over simple tasks and uncertainty from tariffs. Many graduates also face resumed federal student loan payments and a hiring environment that remains cautious.  Daily Record

  • Assemblywoman Dunn urged the state to act after a mine-related sinkhole closed part of I‑80 this winter and cost millions. She testified on Monday before lawmakers in support of bills—A5694 for underground surveys and A5672 for an abandoned mine program—to help prevent future crises.  WRNJ Radio
  • A report by New Jersey Policy Perspective warns that the StayNJ property tax reduction program for seniors may face trouble as federal funding uncertainty forces lawmakers to consider changes; proposals call for lowering the income threshold and maximum benefit to better target support — measures that could cut costs by $520 million.  Daily Record
