- ➤ On June 13th, Denville police arrested 25-year-old Rinalds Ivans from Newark after he attempted to swap legitimate gift cards with fraudulent ones at the CVS on East Main Street—he faces charges of possessing forgery devices, tampering with evidence and theft by deception, and he was released pending a mandatory court appearance. - ➤ Two individuals, Enrique 'Flaco' Vega and Cassandra West, were arrested on June 16 at Newark's Broad Street rail station and charged in connection with a June 13 homicide in Morristown after police say they did not seek help for a man injured by blunt force to the head and later stole $2,500 and trespassed in Hanover. - ➤ Former North Jersey police sergeant Keith M. Gunther, 42, of Wanaque was sentenced to 5 years in state prison on June 17—he pleaded guilty to causing a fatal DUI crash on Oct. 15 on Route 23 in Riverdale that killed Hamid Shabuddin and injured another. Daily Record

- ➤ Today, the Assembly Commerce, Economic Development and Agriculture Committee cleared bill A4799 sponsored by Assemblyman Alex Sauickie to boost local craft beverages by offering a $2,500 grant and special signage to retailers who earn at least 10% of sales from New Jersey products—state agencies will develop a promotion program for qualified businesses. The new measure aims to help local breweries and distilleries increase their market reach and grow their sales. WRNJ Radio

- ➤ Local police advise residents to review New Jersey's e-bike rules set in 2019 that allow low-speed electric bicycles to be ridden without registration or insurance.
