- ➤ Popular viral videos of black bears have drawn attention while state data shows that bear sightings dropped 33% and nuisance complaints fell 27% this year compared to last year—officials credit improved garbage control with reducing incidents even though bears entered homes nine times and reports came mainly from northern and western regions.
