- ➤ Morris County Commissioner Christine Myers led a celebration on Monday in Morristown to mark 20 years of Cornerstone’s Social Adult Day Center, which provides daily social support and personalized care for aging residents & their caregivers. CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Four men—Florin Coman, Roberto Dobrescu, Robert Stoica and Francisco Vaduva—were arrested on June 23 in Hanover Township after a burglary at a Reynolds Avenue home, and police said they face charges of burglary, conspiracy, criminal trespass, criminal mischief and possession of burglary tools as well as extradition for similar crimes in other states. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ NJ Transit began a 50% rail ticket discount for weekday riders from Hackettstown, Mount Olive, Netcong, Lake Hopatcong and Mount Arlington stations when Route 80 was closed for sinkhole repairs — ridership doubled from about 200 to 400 riders.
