Good morning, Morristown.
🚨 Crime
A male burglary suspect was arrested early Saturday in Chester Township after break-ins on Skinner Trail — Chestnut Drive — led police to respond, and he was processed and transferred to the Morris County Correctional Facility.
On Saturday night at 64 Brady Road in Jefferson Township, two pedestrians—a 43-year-old man with serious injuries and a 42-year-old woman with minor injuries—were struck by a dark-colored SUV that fled the scene, and police are asking the public for help identifying the driver.
🌲 Environment
Africanized honey bees have been reported in 13 states over the past few months, and experts say New Jersey’s cold winters will likely keep them from establishing hives.
Researchers warn that while warming trends may push these bees further north in some regions, local conditions should limit their spread—residents are advised to stay informed.
