- ➤ New Jersey state officials warned motorists to drive carefully and plan ahead for heavy Thanksgiving weekend travel as millions take to the roads. The State Police will deploy more than 124 additional troopers — enforcing measures against speeding, distracted driving, and impaired driving after last year’s 13 fatal crashes, with 7 linked to drugs or alcohol.
