- ➤ Morristown will host its 34th annual First Night starting Dec. 31 at 4:30 p.m. with over 80 family friendly acts and historic programs celebrating the nation’s 250th anniversary (including interactive tours at local landmarks) and a midnight fireworks show on the green. Daily Record

- ➤ Florham Park businesswoman Jen Hardell launched Subourbon Life, a line of canned craft cocktails made with 6-year-old bourbon, and her innovative product is now in 200 New Jersey stores and seasonal festivals — a deal with a major distributor will bring the line to 46 states soon. Daily Record
