CRIME NEWS

  • Two Madison Borough residents were arrested on May 5 at 7:20 a.m. and on May 6 at 4:30 p.m. and face charges including selling false government IDs, distributing controlled substances, and related offenses — their cases are pending court appearances in Morris County Superior Court following a year-long investigation by local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.  WRNJ Radio

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Senator Bucco (R-25) said work on I-80 in Wharton Borough continues after a sinkhole caused major damage, with teams set to reopen two eastbound lanes by mid-May and two westbound lanes by end of May while all lanes will open by June 25. Repairs under the I-80 bridges over Route 15 were completed on May 2.  WRNJ Radio

HEALTH NEWS

  • Licensing reports show New Jersey group homes reported 1,620 medication errors from 2019 to 2024, including mistakes that contributed to the overdose death of 21-year-old Katie—raising serious concerns about drug safety. Assemblywoman Aura Dunn has introduced a bill to require nurses or certified medication aides to oversee medication administration in these homes—an effort to protect vulnerable residents amid ongoing risks.  Daily Record
